El Kemp is a recipe developer and food stylist based in London. Being self-taught, El’s relaxed approach to food makes her recipes achievable to any home cook. Her food always follows the seasons and offers inventive ways to make every meal colourful, comforting and delicious.

El styles for newspapers, magazines and cookbooks. She works closely with leading chefs and authors helping with recipe development, testing, and styling for their cookbooks. She has worked on Thomasina Miers' last two books, as well as titles for Flora Sheddon, Anna Jones, Ruby Bhogal and many others. 

El also develops recipes for food brands, her clients include Citizens of Soil olive oil, Halen Môn Welsh salt and Montezuma chocolate, producing seasonal recipes to cook at home using their high-quality products

Kemp Kitchen 

For 9 years El ran Kemp Kitchen, an East London catering company focused on offering delicious and beautiful food for brands and events. Menus were always bespoke using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.  Although Kemp Kitchen closed in 2024, El continues to offer  menu design and catering for smaller events and retreats in London and the West Country.
